Position Overview
International SOS Medical Services operates clinics at remote sites in countries where international standards of medical care are not available or where cultural or language barriers make it difficult to receive appropriate health care. The Medical Service arm provides site specific medical services to global clients as determined by individual client contracts.
Based in our client’s site, The Chief Medical Officer oversees the medical care for the client’s onsite Italian workforce of approximately 150 employees. The key responsibility of this role is to advise the management team on the resources and activities required to achieve optimum health and productivity for the onsite employees. In addition provides functional leadership to enable the local occupational health care team to achieve this and to supply expert medical advice on all matters relating to health, in particular the health of employees at work.
Required Work Experience/Knowledge/Skills
* Medical Doctor with 6 years plus post graduation
* Medical experience gained within primary and emergency medicine environments
* Occupational Health experience
* Experience leading medical and health professionals
* Fluent in Italian and English language skill
Desirable Work Experience/Knowledge
* Experience in assistance, aviation and remote area medicine
