It is with deep sadness and regret that we wish to inform you of the death of the Secretary General of the Italian Federation of the Orders of Doctors and Dentists, dr. Luigi Conte, who passed away today at the age of 69.
Dr. Conte was an esteemed doctor and an exceptional person. His sincerity, integrity and strength of character will be sorely missed.
Over the years, dr. Conte played a significant role in shaping the reputation of the medical profession in Italy.
A specialist in Emergency Surgery / First Aid and Pediatric Surgery dr. Conte’s great passion was the risk management and the medical education. He always represented the views of the medical profession with deep knowledge and thoughtfulness.
We will remember dr. Conte in particular for his intelligence and wit, as well as for the passion and persistence he had in defending the interests of patients and physicians alike.
Our thoughts are with his family in this sad moment.
